World Vision 2008 - help us find the nowhere children
March 6th, 2008No doubt you’re wondering “who are the nowhere children?” This is how the Indian government describes the millions of children in their country from families living in poverty and distress. Often those children are found living on the streets, begging or forced into child labour… in danger and unknown.
how can they be nowhere children?
It just seems strange doesn’t it, the idea that a child could be unknown? Yet, there are many reasons for it. Some are runaway children. Unable to bear their various home situations, they escape into the anonymity of the big city. Others belong to migrant families, moving with the work, and were never registered at birth. Without this they have no citizenship, no ration books and they’ll have no right to vote when they’re old enough.
Help the nowhere children in India by supporting the young people at Big MAC with sponsorship while they go without food for 24 hours on Saturday March 15th - Sunday March 16th.
